- Can I take a tour of the building and what are the hours and telephone number I should call?
The Historic Shelton is open Monday-Saturday from 10AM-10PM for tours and closed on Sunday. Call

- Does Shindig Enterprises
charge for a tour or consultation? No, tours and consultation our free.
- How
many guests can the Historic Shelton hold for a wedding and reception? The Historic Shelton can seat 125 guests
comfortably for an indoor wedding, an outdoor garden wedding will accomodate 250 guests. The Historic Shelton can provide
a sit down luncheon or dinner for 100 guests and for a mix and mingle reception for up to 500 guests. Please
call for details.
- What is the cost to rent
the building for my wedding or reception? Please call us we charge for each wedding and reception separately
depending upon guests and details of the wedding and reception.
- Can
I rent the Historic Shelton for other special events besides weddings and receptions? Yes, please call to discuss
your event.
- How long in advance should
I book my wedding or reception? If you are set on a specific date and are unwilling to change then
you should book 6-9 months in advance.
- What are some of
the policies and rules if I rent the building? Please visit our policies and procedures page for all the details.
- What forms of payment does Shindig Enterprises take for deposit
of renting the building? We accept a credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or a money order, cashier or personal
check.
- Do you rent other items to the general public for
parties, weddings and special events? Yes, we rent out items such as the dance floors, punch fountain, chairs,
chair covers, chocolate fountains, tables, linens, centerpieces, etc.
- Does
the Historic Shelton require a security deposit to rent the building? The security deposit is $100.
- Does Shindig Enterprises assist in wedding planning and finding consultants
or independent contractors for my wedding or special event? Yes, Shindig Enterprises prefers you come to us
first so we can strive to provide you with everything but the groom.
- Is
there plenty of parking? There are 2 acres set aside for parking, enough for over 500 guests.
- Can I bring in my own food and drinks for the reception or special
event? Yes, you can bring in your own food but a kitchen fee and a consultation is required.
The Historic Shelton requires that all professional catering be done through Shindig Enterprises and drinks are not allowed
to be brought in. Wedding cakes can be brought in and are an exception.
